Unable to open Project...Group Dialog Box appears.

When I go to open a Project, an input dialog box appears and wants us
to enter a Group. Everything we try to enter in for a group doesn't
work. MS Project then crashes. Any ideas on how to fix this? What
might be causing it? Thanks.
