Unable to open Word 2000

I cannot open Word 2000. Three times the screen froze and
the only way out was to turn off power (would not respond
to CTRL-ALT-DEL). The following message came up last time
I tried to open Word: A fatal exception 0E has occurred at
018F: BFF74507.
