unable to open word or word documents

When I go to start Microsoft Word, publisher, and powerpoint. I receive the
following message,

'This application must be installed to run. Please run setup from the
location where you originally installed the application.'

I am unable to open any of my word documents, print, or modify them.

Also the office software is registered to myself, however I no longer have
the Original CD's as the program is several years old. '00 or '02.
