Unable to open Word

I'm using a macbook, and I installed the student and teacher edition
of Office: mac, and word worked for a few weeks. Now, whenever I try
to open it (using any means), the icon just bounces on my dock, then
stops and word doesn't open... does anyone know how to fix it?

This may be a pe-binding issue caused by QuickTime update 7.2. There are
instructions on the Apple website for how to fix it.
