Unable to open words!!! HELP....

Hi all,

I am currently facing some problems with words. I am not able to open
words at all. i will have to force quit. This problem occur after i
downloaded fonts from the website. I have tried reinstalling office
2004 n have tried all method like clearing cache follow the method on
how to remove and install office again.... But it is still not able to
work. If you guys know any solution can you kindly help me out!! You

Hi Joden:

1) After removing the fonts you installed, you need to turn your computer's
power off, count to ten, then turn it back on again.

This forces OS X to rebuild its Font Caches.

have method but i still have the same problem. Btw i am using i-book

Thanks for the reply. But i am still not able to open words. It will
either not load at all or hangs when it reaches PDFLib. Any idea why?

Joden:

You have not given the version of your operating system. This is crucial to
fault-finding.

Also: Did you remove all copies of all of the fonts you downloaded?

And did you follow J.E. McGimpsey's procedure for tracking down bad fonts
that Daiya referred you to?

The only other thing I can think of is that you may have Adobe Acrobat
installed.

If so, you may have included the PDFMaker.dot template in your Startup
folder.

If you have, and there were something wrong with PDFMaker.dot, that would
cause the symptom.

I am afraid you are not providing enough detail in your posts to enable us
to really help you.
