Unable to preview contents of files in word & excel

I am unable to preview contents of files in both Excel and
Word. When I go to START-OPEN OFFICE DOCUMENT and select
file, I get preview not available. I am currently running
SP 3 for office 2000. If anyone has any suggestions, it
is appreciated.

Robert,

to see a preview of a document or template, you must save
the document with that option enabled. Open a document
that you are trying to preview and click...

File | Properties: and select "Save with preview picture"
