Unable to print word documents with office 2007

When I print from Word 2007 onto the lab’s laser printer (Lexmark Optra M410)
I get a line down the page of missing characters in every line. It is always
the 36th character in the line. I have tried different fonts, it prints fine
to other printers, it prints fine to PDFs. Any ideas out there?
