Unable to print

When I try to print anything off of Outlook 2001 on my Powerbook (with
Panther), I keep on getting an error message that reads, "THE PRINT
DIALOG BOX COULD NOT BE DISPLAYED."

Any suggestions or tips on how to print emails and correct this email
message would be helpful....

Thanks,

Warner

We see this when there is no printer setup under classic. Set up a
printer and then quit and relaunch Outlook.

I have installed the latest HP software and used the chooser in 9.2.2
to select my 6110 All-in-One. When booted into MacOS 10.3, printing
is fine. When booted into MacOS 9.2.2, printing is fine.

When trying to print from Outlook 2001 (Classic Mode), printing gives
me the error, "The hp inkjet printer is not available. Please check
that the printer is properly connected and switched on, and is
selected from the Chooser desk accessory (-2550)." The Chooser in
Classic shows the HP printer icon in the left window, but does not
allow me show the "6110" in the right window as it does in native
9.2.2.

Any ideas why Classic doesn't see my printer, while 10.3 and 9.2.2 do?

Thanks,

John

Seeing a similar problem. In this case NO classic app will print. I
used the PPDs from the HP downloads. All is fine in OS X.

Is your install a unique install of Classic from an original Classic
CD OR is it the install that comes pre-installed with Jaguar/Panther?

On this specific computer it is a pre-installed Panther set up.

Any help on this would be appreciated. Will cross post in the Apple
support discussion forums.
