Unable to publish in FP2002

P

Patrick

I still can not publish my site with FP using the publish button and typing
my web site: http://prbal.com
FP extension are activated in my host server (lunarpages)
After opening FP, and at the "open web" window I typed: http://www.prbal.com
I
get "connecting to web server" then a window open with: "the folder
'http://www.prbal.com/' isn't accessible. The folder may be located in an
unavailable location, protected with a password, or the file name contains a
/ or \.
I have contacted Lunarpages (LP) their last message was:
"I have reinstalled the FrontPage Extensions on the Primary domain
prbal.com. I have successfully accessed the account using FrontPage 2002/XP
without error. I have not tested the actual Publishing Feature, however it
should work without error as well."

Well it still does not work.
The only way I am able to up load my home page is via
ftp://prbal.com/public_html
How come I am not able to use http to publish my page.
Could this have anything to do with the fact that I renamed my home page and
directory.
FP2002 still has my old domain name in memory and when I tried to publish
this always shows up, and there is no way to delete it, or is there.

Any help to resolve this publishing problem would be appreciated.
TIA
Patrick

According to http://www.prbal.com/_vti_inf.html your site does not have the FP SE installed or they are corrupt (from your FTP)

Stefan:
LunarPages said that FP Extension are installed.
I checked the site: http://www.prbal.com/_vti_inf.html
and get:
In the HTML comments, this page contains configuration information that the
FrontPage Explorer and FrontPage Editor need to communicate with the
FrontPage server extensions installed on this web server. Do not delete this
page.

I still get the server error message.

I deleted a few weeks ago MyWeb folder. Could that have anything to do.

I reinstalled FP 2002, but still the same problem.

Site upload OK via ftp.

Anyway to upload via http

TIA,

Patrick

Looks like they repaired or reinstalled the FP SE
- But stop FTPing (every time you do you break the FP SE)

Have the repair / reinstall the FP SE again (or run a server health check / recalculate the web
Test the FP SE by using File Open Web and entering your URL as http://www.prbal.com/
(run a tools recalculate hyperlinks)
Then close the online web and open you local web
Use File Publish web and enter your URL as
http://www.prbal.com/
