Unable to publish in MS Project

Valerie

I am having issues when trying to Publish in MS Project Pro 2003 SP2. When I
select Collaborate > Publish >New & Changed Assignments or Republish
Assignments the only box that pops up is the box prompting me to save. I am
no longer getting the second box that allows you to notify resources of the
changes or to transfer/take ownership of a project. I am not sure if a
setting has been changed somewhere....any suggestions would be greatly
appreciated.

Thanks!

soundss suscpiciously like you're working with an offline file somehow,
maybe by accessing the file from the task pane/file history links.

just double check for sanity that the project name across the top of
your project window doesnt say projectname.published.mpp....

:)

I am going to File > Open and my project has projectname.published in the MS
Project navigation bar.

I had someone else open my project file from their PC and they had the same
publishing issues w/ the project.

I think I was unclear in my last response......the full name of my project is
displayed in the navigation bar and it has .published after it - it does have
projectname.published.mpp in the navigtaion bar.

The name of the project indicates that it is NOT an enterprise project
because it has the .mpp file extension at the end of the name. I believe
that is why you cannot publish it. If you click File - Open, do you
actually see this project in the Project Server database? If not, you must
import the project into the Project Server database using Tools - Enterprise
Options - Import Project to Enterprise. Hope this helps.

I am able to see & open the project file from the server database. When I
open the file it only has .published after the project file name.....it does
not have .mpp

Any other ideas??

You said it had ".mpp" at the end of the filename. Does it or doesn't it?
If you are having trouble publishing this project, then ask your Project
Server administrator to see if there are errors in the application Event log
on the server where Project Server is installed, and if so, please post the
errors. Hope this helps.
