unable to re-install MSOffice 2000 Professional

I had Office 2000 Pro loaded on my Sony Vaio when it
crashed. We had to re-format the hard drive and re-
install Windows XP. Since then we've been unable to re-
install Office because of the following error:

"Unable to locate or access the
file "Pfiles\MSOffice\Office\Bitmaps\Pbwiz\Service.gif"
Please verify that the file is available and accessible
(?)

Are we missing a service patch or update to XP? Any
suggestions?
