Using Outlook in Office 97 and Comcast cable broadbent. I can send e-mail but
cannor receive and after attempting to receive e-mail I get Error mesagge:
"Microsoft Windows(TM) Messaging Subsystem Spooler has encountered a problem
and needs to close". This is a home computer connected to Comcast through a
Linksys 4 port router. The e-mail has been working normally. The only changes
that I am aware of would be Microsoft Security updates and Norton Internet
Security updates.

If NIS is configured to scan incoming mail, uninstall it and reinstall
without that option.

I uninstalled NIS and tried to receive e-mail but still get the Messaging
Subsystem Spooler error. I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling Office 97
but no change. I have now reinstalled NIS and still cannot receive e-mail.

I have no other suggestions. Sorry.
