Unable to receive emails.

Hello,

I am unable to receive any emails from our POP3 email account. The machine
I'm using is a Sony Vaoi laptop with Vista Business Edition. I have tried
both Outlook 2003 and 2007 and I'm getting the same problem. It will start to
receive email messages then after successfully receiving 2-3 messages, it
just hangs. Both the progress bar and the estimated downloaded size do not
move.

I am able to receive emails from other machines which have XP with Outlook
2003 and Outlook 2007. Additionally, I have tried using another email client,
Thunderbird and I'm able to successfully receive all my email messages. This
leads me to believe that the problem is not with my POP provider or the
network. But something in Vista or Outlook.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

My guess is 2 versions of Outlook. You can have only one version installed on
the computer.

Hello Mary,

No, that isn't the case. I made sure to uninstall 2007 prior to installing
2003.

After doing a bit more research, I was able to resolve the issue!
