unable to repair

don't know where else to post this but,

I have an MDE file that will not repair, upon inspection of the file (byte
level), I found that the last part of the file is missing, along with missing
data. This mean that there are no end of file markers or end of record
markers.

How does Access store and save the information so I can write my own code to
extract the file from the dead mde file? I don't care about the forms, etc,
just the data.

At times like this, nothing beats a good backup.

Tony Toews has an excellent web page on database corruption.

Allen Brown also has excellent info on corruption.

I have a white paper in a Word document named Fix Corrupt Access Database
towards the bottom this page:
http://www.rogersaccesslibrary.com/OtherLibraries.asp

In my paper there is something about missing information at the beginning of
the file; however, I'm thinking that a recent backup is your only real
solution.
