I'll ask again - last time my question was ignored.
If I try to forward a newsgroup message or reply to a newsgroup message, I
get an Outlook error message that says "The Operation Failed."
I found article 245315 on Microsoft Knowledge Base that tells me to make
Outlook Express the Default Simple MAPI Client to correct this problem.
If I do that, then when I try to use Outlook, I get the message telling me
that Outlook is not my default e-mail client. This didn't happen until I
had my hard drive reformatted and reloaded all my programs. I could reply
to or forward newsgroup messages when in Outlook Express without getting
this error message every time. Surely there is a setting some place that
will fix this annoying problem.
Also, if I try to forward or reply to a message in a corel newsgroup - it
works fine. But, when I try to do these same things in alt, rec, or
microsoft groups I can't.
The forwarded message or reply that I try to send goes into the Outlook
outbook, which I then have to delete before I can exit Outlook or it keeps
trying to send the message, which it can't, because there is not an address
in the To field.
Using Outlook 2003.
