Unable to respond to a meeting update

A meeting update was sent to several users - this is a recurring meeting and
one instance needed to change. Whilst most users could respond by clicking
on the Accept button, two users could not respond - when they tried the
following message appeared: "You cannot respond to a meeting without an
organiser". "You must add an organiser field to the meeting".

There is an organiser present and it is not possible to add ano organiser
field to the meeting.

Can anybody help with this?
