unable to retreive messages from hotmail

I have watched the demo videos on configuration for outlook and have set it
up to get my mail from hotmail account and my gmail account but for some
reason my messages are not being retreied at this stage my pop trouble
shooter keeps telling me I have configured to leave emails on the server but
I have checked the delete emails on gmail but don,t know where to uncheck
them for hotmail has some one got any suggestions please many thanks.
