unable to run office after downloading the updated service packs

I run windows 2000 and recently downloaded the updated
service packs and blaster patch. Now no one other than
the administrator can run all the microsoft office
programs. It says they do not have access. Then asks
them to insert the disk. I have tried that but it comes
back with an error code.
