Unable to save documents in Word 2000

Sapphire Systems

Hello folks

Been having a problem with Word 2000, running under Windows XP Home.
I can't save documents at all, whenever I click on Save, no dialog box
appears. When quitting, I get the prompt to save the global template.
If I run winword /a the problem disappears, until I open up an
existing document, then I'm back where I started before. System has
been checked for virii, and definitions are up to date. Any ideas?

Thanks, Alex

If you have no code or settings you want to keep, try deleting normal.dot.
(Word creates a new one next time it runs.)

But this particular problem is more likely caused by an add-in.
