Unable to save documents in word , office 2000

I keep getting the message ..changes have been made that
affect the global template normal.dot, do you want to save
those changes. then regardless of the choice.."word
cannot save the file because it is open etc;
Ihave to controla alt delete to get out of this. It is
occuring through most of my documents. I run norton 2003
and on xtra so it should not be a macro virus. What if it
is?
Please someone help, the documents are my work and vital.

No it is NAV. Open NAV and disable the Office Plug-in under Options. This
will not effect your security.
