unable to save documents in Word X

Forum members:

Word suddenly refuses to save documents. I'm running Office X
under Mac Os 10.3.4 on a dual-processor G4 with 1 GB of RAM. I've
reinstalled Office X and Update 10.1.5. Have repaired permissions with
Disk Utility. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

What do you mean by "suddenly refuses to save"? Error message?

Hello,

I hope this helps someone. I ran Uninstaller and removed parts of
Office 98 and 2001.
Everything is fine now. Thanks you for your suggestions.

I am also looking for a solution to the same problem as Mark. In fact I have
see this error message: "file could not be saved..." on a dozen different macs
running MS Word in a broad variety of versions for YEARS. Unfortunately,
auto-save does not always do its job, so I've sort of developed a "nervous
twitch" where I hit command+s (save) almost continuously. As I said it
happens on all of our macs, but I lost an hour's work today on a PowerBook
T (15") operating MacOS 10.3.4 with a gig of ram. The application is Word:
Mac v.x

HELP!!!
