Unable to save the column width for the combo-box in a sub-form

Hi,

I'm having a problem saving the column width for a combo-
box in a subform. Whenever I open the form, the column
width gets decreased, and does not display the entire
text. I've tried:

1. In form Design view, explicitly mentioning the column
width in Combo-box Properties box, with the list width
being the same as the column width, and "Auto" (tried
both).
2. In Form view, adjusting the column width by right
cliking the head of the combo-box.
3. In form Design View, the width of combo-box looks fine -
I've adjusted that by dragging the edge.

Any ideas as to what I'm not doing right, and how can I
fix this?
