Unable to Select a Text Box

I have placed a text box within a document. I am unable to select the
textbox. I can select and edit all other text boxes. I can select all data
around the textbox. Because I can't select it I can't delete. I have tried
'select objects' (white arrow), the text boxes aren't linked and the document
has no protection. It is like Word doesn't realise this text box exists.
Word 2003

Is the text box anchored to the header or footer? If so, you'll need to View
| Header and Footer to access it.

Hi Suzanne
No its not in the header or footer. I think it may be to do with the
drawing box just looking at this now.
