Unable to select, delete checkbox

I am unable to select or delete a checkbox... At first I thought it was
created using Control Toolbox and all I needed to do was enter design mode so
I can select it... but it didn't work... Please advise ASAP if possible...

Is the sheet protected by any chance?
What happens if you hit goto (F5) special, objects?

Thanks! Not sure why you could not select it though.
Maybe the sheet was not in design mode (control toolbox toolbar, first button)?
