Just signed on with a new ISP and having issues sending email. Been working
on this for three days constantly with ISP tech support and we have had no
luch. Here is what I have tried so far..You should also know that new ISP is
a rural carrier for wireless internet (totalaccess.net).
Verified server addresses
Confirmed SMTP - (does not require authentication)
Disabled and then completely removed Norton Internet Security
Disabled Windows Firewall
Tried alternate email program for sending (Mozilla Thunderbird)
Confirmed by SPs were up to date
Downloaded utility for router and adjusted MTU settings
Bypassed router all together and plugged into to radio internet POE cable
Same results from all three computers in household - two laptops and one
desktop - one with no virus or scanning software on it
Also received same results using another email account on same ISP
I also completely deleted profiles from Outlook time and time again
Also tried connecting using Outlook Express
Have tried many many alternate ports with no success
Also adjusted time out to ten minutes...
okay...what am i missing here...any chance the problem can be with the ISPs
outgoing server and why are no other customers having issues? Can it be
something to do with the outdoor antenna/wireless set up. Thanks in advance
to those willing to help me. This is quite frustrating...
