Unable to send mails in entourage 2004 with OS X

HELP!!

i am able to connect to my exchange mail server and receive emails,
check on calanders, receive meeting requests BUT NOT SEND EMAILS!!! can
anyone help me. below is the error message i am getting:

Entourage is unable to access the mail account you are using with the
mail server configured for that account.

Explaination:


The mail account is configured incorrectly in Entourage. Review the
mail account settings for typos and incorrect information (including
your own email address). On the Tools menu, click Accounts. In
Accounts, select the mail account and click Edit.

Account name: "Tommy's Exchange account"

You need to take a look in the mail account settings, for what you haver
entered into the 'sending mail server' box. Make sure it is alled spelled
correctly. Often the setting is the same as the 'receiving mail server'
setting, but sometimes, where the receiving mail server is set to (for
example) mail.domain.com, the sending mail server may be set to
smtp.domain.com

there isn't such a setting :( if i am not wrong. this only applies if
there is a pop3 or IMAP account. i am using an exchange server

had this problem also. Deleted the account and then recreated it and the
issue was resolved.
