Unable to send/receive email

Outlook 2000
Win 2000

When I attempt to send/receive I receive an error msg
which states: The TCP/IP connnection was unexpectedly
terminated by the server. Error Number: 0x800ccc0f

Any help would be greatly appreaciated.
