Unable to send/receive mail when a pocket pc device is connected

My Outlook XP has no problem to send and receive mails
when no pocket pc (an ipaq 2210) is connected to my PC. As
soon as I connect the pocket pc to my PC, Outlook XP (on
my PC) gets an error when it tries to connect to the mail
server. The problem remains until I disconnect the pocket
pc.
