Dear all,

I have a very annoying problem, which has been baffeling me for some
time now. I have project server installed, with 3 x project
professional pc's. i want to set the default task type to fixed units
effort driven. I have done this on my machine (professional) and as
soon as i close the app and re open, the default task type stays at
fixed units, but effort driven is not selected. Is there something i
need to do in enterprise global to recitfy this issue?

look forward to your advice.

kind Regards
Steve

Steve --

If you are attempting to set the default Task Type and Effort Driven status
in the Enterprise Global file, thinking that it will set those values for
each user, then you are mistaken. The Enterprise Global is your
organization's library of enterprise Views, Tables, Fitlers, Groups, Fields,
etc. It does not control user settings on each user's Microsoft Project
Professional application. If this is what you attempted to do, then you
need to instruct each PM to set the Task Type and Effort Driven status on
their own PC's.

If this is not what you were attempting to do, then please tell us the
precise steps you followed and perhaps we can help. Let us know.
