unable to set my spelling & grammar settings

I am unable to set "spaces requred between sentences" to "1", but I can
set it to "2" or "don't check." Also, I am unable to set "punctuation
required with quotes" to "inside" although I can set it to either
"outside" or "don't check."


I have tried running word with the /a option to prevent loading any
options, but I still can't change the settings to what I want. I've
googled the web, the usegroups and the microsoft support site for info
on this, to no avail.


I'm using word 2002 sp3. I'm doing tools, options, spelling & grammar,
settings,


Any thoughts?
