unable to setup add-in, excel does not recognise the installation CD

when i tried to install the add-ins, the PC will search
for the installation file only in the floppy drive and
when it couldn't find the file, an error msg will appear

Microsoft Excel Can't run this add-in.
Microsoft Excel cannot install the necessary files due to
Windows installer error 1635.

how can i make the installer look in CD Rom instead of
floppy drive for the installation file please? I've tried
to copy the .xla files to the floppy, but the installer
still cannot detect the file.
