Installed & activated on a new laptop with
student/teacher version. All apps (word, excel, ppt) work
fine, but when opening outlook - error message appears
saying unable to open default email folders. Gives option
to open system file, but can't set up email account from
there.

Diane,

Thanks for your help - created new profile as you said.
Now when opening Outlook - get a new pop up
saying "Unable to start processing services. Could not
open the item. Try again". Trying again, rebooting, etc
produces same pop up. Have set up outlook several times
without these problems. Other ideas?

Were you ever able to resolve this? I have an identical problem with Outlook
2002 that was installed on a machine that originally had the 2003 trial
version removed.

Thanks.
