Unable to spell check because of missing file

Open a Word document that has this problem. Press Ctrl+A to
select all of the text, click on Tools | Language | Set Language
| <choose your language> | uncheck the "Detect language
automatically" and "Do not check spelling or grammar" boxes |
Default | OK, and press F7 to rerun spellcheck. If you are
prompted to save changes to your Normal.dot global template, say yes.

I'm having the same problem as Cheryl, and the file that it says is missing
is a .dll file. I don't know *why* the spellcheck .dll file is missing
because I never ever delete .dlls, but it is. I uninstalled and re-installed
my Office 2000 Small Business applications and it is no help, nor is the fix
listed here as those check boxes are already unchecked when I go to Set
Language.

What is going on?
