After a computer crash, we loaded Office back onto the Windows XP personal
computer. All programs are functioning properly except Outlook. The
Personal Folder pst file backup was intact on a network server and I
downloaded it into the proper Outlook folder. I am able to open Outlook and
view Calendar, Contact, and Notes items. However, when I try to print an
item from any of these I receive a message that says, "Could not open the
item. Try again." When I try to send or receive an e-mail I receive a
message that states "Unable to start processing services. Could not open the
item. Try again." When I try to create a new message I receive a message
"Cannot create the e-mail message because a data file to send and receive
messages could not be found. To add a data file, such as a personal folder
file, double-click the Mail icon in Windows Control Panel." I have already
made sure the pst folder is not Read-Only. I have deleted the pst and
re-downloaded it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
