I get the the message below whenever I try to HotSync.
"Syncing Address Book
The Handheld database could not be opened synchronization failed
Entourage Conduit synchronization failed
"Entourage Conduit" failed (error = #16388)"
I got this before and after I went into the Conduit manager and set the individual components (Address Book, Notes, Calendar, etc) to Synchronize.

Any additional ideas? Palm hasn't been able to help.
Thanks

I'm not a syncing expert at all but when I see "The Handheld database
could not be opened" then that leads me to believe that something is
wrong with the Address Book on your Treo. Maybe it's corrupt.

If you're comfortable overwriting what's on your Treo then you might set
your conduit settings to overwrite the first time and then sync the rest.

Hope this helps!

I have the same problem, but everything, including the Address Book, syncs fine on my other Mac. (I use the Palm to go back and forth between home and work.) Not only that, but I have the Address Book set as "do not sync" and yet it does anyway. Given all that, there is no reason to think overwriting the handheld would do any good, since the database is obviously not corrupt.
