unable to uninstall office 2003 after group policy deployment

We have deployed Office 2003 using group policy (assigned). Now when we
attempt to uninstall the product from a computer under this group policy, we
are unable to uninstall. I need to uninstall and reinstall this product.
Any suggestions?

Hi Russ,

When you install using a group policy for a container ( OU or Domain ), no
matter how many times you uninstall the product from the computer, it will be
still re-installed when you again join the machine to the Domain or login to
the Domain.
So, the only way is to eliminate the machine or the user ( depending on
where group policy has been set ! user or computer configuration) from the
Container.
If you have done that and still have some difficulties uninstalling the
software, I would ask you to download windows installer cleanup utility kb
article number 290301 and remove it. Its the best utility for uninstallation
I have even seen !!!
