Susan,
I saw several of your replies on MS discussion board and
it sounds like you have a know how.
I have a problem I can't seem to get resolved and would
like to ask for your help.
My system: Win98 2ndEd, with all updates, MSOffice 2000Pro.
Several weeks ago, Excel would not open. I received a
popup that said Excel.exe was not a valid win32
application. I searched for the excel.exe and can't find
it on computer. Most other programs seem to work, except
Excel files won't open.
Office updater on-line isn't working either, saying there
is an error with MSB files or somehting. I searched for
those and my computer found no files.
I thought I'd try to uninstall MSoffice and start over,
but it won't let me. I get a WindowsInstaller box that
says "This patch pakage could not be opened. Verify that
the patch exists and that you can access it, or contact
the application vendor to verify that htis is a valid
Windows Installer patch package."
Can you help?
Very Truly,
Randy McInnis
