Unable to Update Actual Hours into Projects after Changing Trackin

Minhchau

We've been using Project 2003 since March 2003. We're using SQL server with
timesheet system (managed period every two weeks). Recently, we temporarily
switched the managed period to unmanaged period for a day so that our staff
can manually input hours for external resources. We then switched back to
the managed period. When we updated project progress, some of the timesheet
resources who had actual hours in the projects didn't show up for us to
approved. In other words, the timesheets seemed to be unlinked to the
project. When I looked at the Web Access screen, under Resources/Adjust
Actual, the hours that these timesheet resources charged to the project were
there (in blue).
Please show me how to make this work again.
Thanks,

Minhchau:

The updates that your team entered that day were sent to the Project
Manager(s) for approval. You need to determine who the owner(s) of the
assignments is/are, and have that/those person/persons go to the Updates
page and process the updates. Could it be that these assignments were
originally published by someone no longer on your team? If they show up
under adjust actuals, then they were, indeed, sent.

If only one person is managing this plan, have him or her open the plan,
select Collaborate > Publish > Republish Assignments selecting the checkbox
to "become the manager of these assignments." Then save and close and go to
the Updates page. The stray updates should all be there.

Are you refering to the external resources time?

If you are the you also need to "Republish assigments" and "overwright
actual work" which is only available when using "non managed periods"
