Unable to Update data in a query datasheet

I have a query that will not allow me to change data from
the query dataset and I can not understand why.
The query is very simple select query, involving 2 tables,
no limiting criteria. I am allowed to update data if only
1 table is in the query, but not when both are. So I
thought it must have something to do with the table join.
I have tried it with every possible table join type, just
to see, but it STILL won't allow any updates or changes to
data.

Any ideas for me???

If you enter "Updatable query" in the answer wizard there is an entry called
"When can I update data from a query?"

This lists all the possible reasons.

Display the query's property sheet, and change the
rescordset type property to dynaset (inconsistent
updates). Otherwise access prevents the updates because
it needs to make sure the join colums aren't changed.
