unable to update office 2003

I have a new CD for small office edition 2003 office; I have on the laptop a
trial edition of office 2003 now showing the trial version as ended. I have
tried to convert to full edition using new disc, but it wont accept product
code;
Disc was a sealed microsoft original;

thanks Milly;
I bought it off the web; it was sealed ok; said it was a genuine copy and
the holograms all bear that out; No reason to think it isn't, but when it
asks for product code, I enter the one from the sleeve and it says incorrect
code.......the weird thing is that I dont need to convert word. It only says
my trial has ended on powerpoint; when I went to get update from web it
wouldnt even load the website to buy a new key.
any ideas

Just a sealed CD or a boxed copy? Sounds pretty fishy to me, and Microsoft
Office copies are pretty widely counterfeited.

Uninstall the expired trial version of Office 2003, and then
install the full version from your new CD.
