Since installing a new hard drive, and transferring all the data from the
'old' drive - now the primary slave drive - to the 'new' drive - now the
primary master drive, I'm unable to update/repair on delete Office 2003
Professional running under Windows XP.
All the Office product 'icons' are 'blanks' and on attempting to
remove/repair the programme I get the following error message: 'This patch
could not be opened. Verify that the patch package exists and that you can
access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid
Windows Installer patch package'.
Also on attempting to open any office based products - word/excel/publisher
etc, I get another error message: 'An error occurred an dthis feature is no
longer functioning properly. Please run set up and select 'Repair' to resore
this application. Although pPressing 'OK' allows access to the programme.
On running the Windows Office setup CD I get a similar error message to the
above and am unable to repair.
Help!!
