Unable to use a Flash driver on Windows XP

J

Jules Meisler

I am trying to use a Kingston Data Transfer 2.0 Flash Driver on a Dell
Machine with Microsoft Windows XP service Pack 2.0 loaded.

The computer does not recognize the Driver, although it is supposed to have
been loaded. I get an error message "the driver for this device has not
been installed (Code 28)".

I called Kingston (the manufacturer) and they do not have a driver to
download and tell me to look at the Microsoft site to see if I can locate an
appropriate driver, since it is supposed to have been installed.

I have tried, but do not see any appropriate driver or message. Can someone
point me to the proper area?

thank you.

You'd probably be better off asking this in a newsgroup related to Windows
XP.

This newsgroup is for questions about Access, the database product that's
part of Office Professional.
