unable to use links in email or Word documents

Over the last several weeks I can no longer employ the internet links imbeded
in either outlook express email messaeges or in Word documents. I was able to
use these earlier, but that suddenly stopped. I have changed no settings. My
OS is Vista (need I say more!). I get a message that reads that this action
is not permitted on the computer and I should speak to my administrator. But
I am my administrator! or so it seems. This is my laptop. What is going on?
Anyone have any idea? Assistance much appreciated as this is really
frustrating.

Outlook Express or Word.

Yes, as there is no logical link between your issue and the fact that you
use Windows Vista. It's also confusing with your earlier statement that you
are using Outlook Express as that application doesn't run on Windows Vista.
Perhaps you meant to say Windows Mail?

Anyway, this is a well documented issue that seems to occur when the default
browser is not properly registered in Windows. Re-assign your default
browser via Start-> Default Programs
