unable to use or uninstall MS Office 2000 Pro

I currently transferred one harddrive to the other and I
am now unable to use MS Office or any other tool that
belongs to MS Office such as Word, Excel, Access,
Powerpoint and FrontPage 2000 is there anything I can
possibly do to uninstall the current version and
reinstall a newer version without having to recover my
entire system.

Any Help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Do I rightly assume that the hard drive now has a different letter?
Office "knows" where it is installed, include on which drive. If that
letter has changed, Office will not work.

I truly understand that. I have a new PC now. However I
can't uninstall it either. I would like to uninstall it,
with out losing all of the other countless programs that
I transferred along with that one. I am trying to find a
fix for this issues with out having to restore or run a
recovery on my new pc. Is there any way to uninstall the
Office program with out running "Disk Restore"?

Thank you for your responses I greatly appreciate it.

Will the repair option work, using orig.disk?

I tried the repair option using the disk and using
the .msi on the harddrive and still no result.

I am going to try and restore the PC. But first I am
going to transfer all of my non-corrupt data over to my
old pc before doing so. That way I can save my files and
usable programs.

Thank you for all of your assistance.
