unable to use outlook 2002 as email support

Hi,
I want to change my email support from Outlook Express to
Outlokk 2002.
I have also changed package with my ISP so it isn't as
simple as importing my initial settings.
I follow all the instructions properly to set things up
in Outlook 2002, but always the same message comes saying
that there is a problem with my incoming mail server
(POP3), unable to logon.
In effect I can send emails from Outlook 2002 but can't
receive any... useful!!!

I have checked the Outlook Help / About MS Outlook /
System Info / MS Outlook 2002 / Summary,

and this tells me that there is NO mail support available
in my system... since I didn't get the software illegally
is there any way I can change this and have email support
on Outlook 2002, or does this not affect me and my
problem is elsewhere?
