unable to view full screen slide show as web presentation

Not able to view any web published powerpoint slide shows in full screen
mode. When I click the Full Screen Slide Show icon, nothing happens. I
have one computer that allows the full screen mode, and another that
doesn't. Is there some setting within Internet Explorer or a system setting
that allows/denies this option?

This problem happens on one of my Win98 systems, not the other. It also is
a problem with my Win XP notebook.
