Unable to view message content from Blackberry in Outlook 2007

I can see who sent the message and the subject line but no content. At the
top it says the message is HTML. The internet header details say it is a
plain text message. My husband has the same software and setup on his laptop
and receives the same emails. He can read the content and at the top of the
screen it shows the message as plain text. I can't see any setting on his
Outlook 2007 that is different from mine. What do I have to change so that I
can read the Blackberry messages?

Do they indicate it was BIS?

How are they getting put on the blackberry? Syncing with Desktop manager or
using BIS or BES to forward them?

Yes, that means you are using BIS (blackberry internet service). Check the
blackberry forums at either blackberry.net or crackberry.net - you'll find
more blackberry and BIS users there and someone may know where the problem
is. I'm pretty sure its not with Outlook since BIS is passing the mail to
the device before outlook touches it.

I thought it your were having problems with messages synced to a blackberry,
not that someone is sending you messages from their blackberry and the
message is getting corrupted.

Do you scan email with an antivirus application? That's the main cause of
corrupt messages.

The message area is totally blank on my computer. The message is displayed on
my husbands computer. We are both using Outlook 2007. We are both using
McAfee virus software.

I thought it your were having problems with messages synced to a blackberry,
not that someone is sending you messages from their blackberry and the
message is getting corrupted.

Do you scan email with an antivirus application? That's the main cause of
corrupt messages.

I have also discovered that the encoding for this message is Chinese
Simplified (GB18030). Not sure how this could make a difference though as it
is the same for both computers.

Nevertheless, uninstall McAfee and reinstall it without the mail scanning
feature. That won't fix the messages you've received already, but it should
help any new messages.

Are you interested in finding the cause of the problem or not? If you intend
to live with the problem, then do nothing. If you want to solve it, pursue
the solutions people give you and if they don't pan out, revert to what you
were using.

Also the mail scanning feature is necessary.

Completely false. You don't understand how computers work if you believe it's
necessary.

Is your hardware identical? Is your version of McAfee exactly the same
version with exactly the same engine version and signature version? Do you
have exactly the same Outlook updtaes applied? Are all the DLLs either app
uses identical? There are any number of subtle differences that can enter the
equation that you just won't see at a cursory glance.

Again I say: if you're not willing to test the suggestions people give you,
you're not really interested in a solution. You're welcome to solve the
problem yourself.

OK I hope this helps someone. If you are sending emails, getting a respons
bac
from someone with a blackberry, and all you see is an empty reply with no tex
or content on outlook, here is what I suspect and seems to resolove my sam
problem I have had and has been bugging me for a long time

I have Kaspersky and it has some antispam filter. I just unchecked the bo
fro
the "rules" on outlook that was running the email through a kaspersk
anti spam. Now I can see the emails

On top of outlook (I am using 2007) go to "Tools" then "rules an
alerts". You should see any rules that are being run on your inbox. If yo
see an anti spam one, uncheck it. See if this resolves your problem. It ma
no
work on emails already in the inbox, but should work for any new ones comin
in
