Unable to view website pictures in all broswers

I am using Publisher 2003 and have imported images from photoshop. The
images are viewable in Internet Explorer, Netscape and Mozilla but not
through AOL (the pictures show as red "X"s). I've verified that the "Rely on
VML" and "Allow PNG" options are disabled. Are there any other settings I
can modify to make so AOL viewers can see my website properly?

You do not specify the type of image (i.e; GIF, JPEG, BMP or other) nor do
you indicate whether the pictures are placed on the page or linked to an
image folder.

It may be that the image type is the problem, try changing from one type to
another. If that does not work try the following:

If they are placed on the page, try putting them in an image folder and link
them in your page i.e.:
insert an HTML fragment on the page, one for each image, where you want the
image to appear <img src="images/imagename.gif (or jpeg)"> and make sure that
the fragment frame is slightly wider and higher (a small fraction of an inch
or a half mm) than the image is.

If the images are presently linked to an image folder, then try the opposite
i.e: place them directly "on" the page.

I just realise now that you actually "imported" pictures from photoshop, not
saved them first. Check that they aren't in PSD format because that would
explain the problem. But I suppose you would have already made sure of that.

I would guess that there is a setting in the AOL browser somewhere that
causes this and not a Publisher setting. I seem to remember reading that AOL
offers the use of an "accelerator" that works by reducing in steps the
quality of images downloaded, all the way to not allowing the image at all,
in order to speed up page loading.
