Unable to write emails using Outlook Web Access

I have a problem trying to answer my emails using Outlook Web Access - I can
read emails but when I try to answer or try to write a new email I get the
address and subject fields but where the text should be all I get is a small
red cross in the top left hand corner of the text box.

I'm using IE v7 under Vista.
