Unassigned Projects appear in PA

I have a built a simple portfolio analyzer view that shows availability
and work assigned by resource and by project.

Not sure why this is happening but projects that are not assigned to a
resource are appearing in the view under their name. There are no work
values as expected but I should not see the project name show up
either? The same four projects show up under each persons name listed
in the department. There are no assignments in any of these projects
for any of these resources. Normally, I would only see projects show
only when they were included in the assignments some where.

Any clues as to why this is happening?

Have you added these resources as team members in the projects by chance?

No, thats whats puzzling to me. No where do they appear in the the
project, as seen in the resource usage or resource task sheets.

I have traced it to a single department, the projects listed under
everyones name are those that appear (*.published) in the resource
useage view of the admin project. I added more persons to the admin
project yesterday, they do not have any *.published project under thier
name in the resource usage view. I find it odd thou it is the
*.published projects that are properly assigned to the other resources
that now appear under each person in the PA resource usage view.

Could this be another problem I have found with SP2 I did not have this
issue until I applied the service pack 2.

Yes, this certainly could be an issue with SP2. I would invite others to
continue sharing their SP2 problems and issues. As you might already have
noted, Adrian Jenkins from Microsoft has already responded about one known
SP2 issue. Thanks for doing additional research on your issue.

Kevin:

Did you drag the high-level leaf of the Projects dimension into the view, or
level 2? The former will display all projects, the latter will display only
projects assigned to the resources providing that this dimension has been
dragged to the right of the Resources dimension.

I have tried it both ways the results are the same. The view changed
after the service pack, it was working fine. Not all projects show up
by the way, either way I try it. It appears to have to do with what
ever projects are listed under the different resources names in the
Admin project.
